Australian Shooter Magazine November 2014 page 101 a review on the Pro Shooter. SSAA met us at the Sydney Shot Expo in 2014 and loved the gun so much they reviewed it!
One of the reasons many of us get into and continue with the shooting sports is because it is just plain fun. At the SSAA SHOT Expo in Sydney earlier this year, we met up with Nick Judge from Leisuretime Imports, who introduced us to the Pro-Shooter – a product that will no doubt appeal to younger shooters and those who may be feeling frivolous. Well, the Pro-Shooter certainly found appeal in Sydney, as Nick completely sold out of his product by the end of the first day of the Expo.
The Pro-Shooter is a toy pistol that looks like a Colt 1911 .45 and utilises infrared lasers to knock down the supplied targets up to 50m away, or even 100m if you’re a good shot. The package retails for only $40, so it won’t have perfect sights (although you can adjust the windage and elevation with a screwdriver), but it is fun and can be used for additional training away from the shooting range. Other targets are available for around $15, including Angry Birds targets for those familiar with the franchise.
The Pro-Shooter pistol is plastic and comes with a red plug on the tip of the barrel to further signify it as a toy. However, firearm and importation laws do vary in each state or territory, even for toys such as this, so be sure to check with your area’s laws before purchasing this product.
